A man in his 20s is recovering in intensive care after he was stabbed in St. Michel in the early morning of Dec. 28.

The incident occurred at about 4:20 a.m. on Belair St. at the corner of 12th Ave, for an unknown reason.

The victim was immediately transported to the hospital to undergo surgery.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the attack.

As of 8:00 p.m. on Dec. 28, the man's identity had not been revealed, and no charges had been pressed against him.

The suspect is still being questioned by police, who are attempting to determine his relationship to the victim.

While police were setting up a perimeter during their investigation, they discovered a marijuana grow-op in a home nearby. They believe the grow-op could be connected to the incident.

Police investigators have received a warrant to search the residence.

This home does not belong to the suspect, however it is potentially the location where the two men were in contact.
