TERREBONNE - The Surete du Quebec is investigating after police in Terrebonne shot and killed a man Sunday.

Two officers from the Terrebonne police department opened fire, saying the victim was speeding toward them in his car.

The man was shot four times and died in hospital from his injuries.

The incident took place around 2 p.m. at a gas station at the intersection of St. Louis Rd. and Terrebonne Blvd. as officers were apparently trying to arrest the man in connection with several robberies. 

One of the Terrebonne police officers was injured.
