Another business on Charleroi St. in Montreal North has been firebombed, this time a hair salon.
Two pizzerias on the street were struck by Molotov cocktails within the past month, and a series of similar attacks on nearby businesses has taken place in the past few weeks.
The latest attack happened early Sunday morning, when the window of the salon was struck by a firebomb. The fire caused considerable damage.
Three men were seen fleeing the area shortly after.
"Part of the investigation, besides looking for witnesses, is talking to people in the neighbourhood and looking for tapes from surveillance cameras. Of course, we're also talking to the owner of the store to see if he was victim of threats in the past, or if he has any reasons to believe people would want to harm him or his store," said Montreal police Const. Olivier Lapointe.
