MONTREAL - Montreal's arson squad is investigating two more firebombing attacks against Italian restaurants, part of a long string of arsons in the city dating back more than a year.
Two restaurants in Montreal North were hit by Molotov cocktails early Wednesday morning.
In each case the windows were smashed and a firebomb was hurled inside.
The first restaurant, a Pizza Pizza outlet, is on Charleroi St. near the corner of Henault Ave. Damage to the single-storey building was limited.
The second restaurant, Champion Pizza ten blocks east at the corner of Jean Meunier Ave., forced the evacuation of the commercial/residential building.
No one was injured, but residents were unable to return to their homes for several hours.
