Montreal's blue collar workers began their second round of rotating strikes Monday.

The strike began in the downtown borough of Ville Marie, and the workers plan to target a different borough every day.

The blue collars launched their first cycle of rotating strikes January 25.

The city's 5,000 workers have been without a contract for two years.

They want better pay and they want the city to use fewer private contractors.

While on strike, city employees will not pickup garbage or recycling, and will not clear snow unless 9 centimetres has fallen.
