MONTREAL - The Halloween scares start Friday night for drivers who need to use the Turcot Interchange or Champlain Bridge.

As of 11 p.m. Friday, drivers heading east on Highway 20 will not be able to continue through the Turcot to the Ville Marie Expressway. Instead they will have to detour to the Decarie Expressway, then loop around on Cote St. Luc Rd. and head south on the 15 to access the 720 Eastbound onramp.

Similarly, the onramp from the 15 North to the 720 East will be closed, and drivers should atke the Bonaventure Expressway to head downtown instead.

Both closures run from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

Meanwhile most of the work repaving Highway 15 is complete, but some work still has to be done on the Champlain Bridge.

From 10 p.m. Friday until noon on Sunday, only one lane will be open heading to Montreal along the Nuns' Island Bridge -- the portion that runs from Nuns' Island to Montreal.

Drivers will be able to detour via Autoroute 10.

All lanes will be open for drivers heading off the island.
