Three minors will be charged with setting fire to a mobile charity food service in Gatineau on June 9, 2013.

The suspects, aged 15, 16 and 17 allegedly lit up a trailer belonging to the Soupiere de l’Amitie organization, which offers $1 meals to the poor and free breakfast for underprivileged primary school kids as well as emergency food for families with young children.

The organization was forced to suspend its services for several months as they scrambled to deal with the thousand of dollars of damages caused by the arson.

The suspects have been released awaiting their next court hearing.

The organization was founded in 1986 and on May 20 announced on its Facebook page that it was planning to stop its services.
