The owner of a restaurant was assaulted and robbed early Friday morning in Greenfield Park.
As he was closing up the Miss Italia restaurant at 4:30 a.m., a man attacked him and repeatedly punched him in the face.
The Longueuil police, who were called to the scene at 1380 Victoria Ave., said the attacker then stole the owner’s money, but the amount is undetermined.
The victim was transported to a South Shore hospital. Longueuil police said his life is not in danger.
They only have a vague description of the assailant: a man around 25 years old with a light beard, wearing a brown hoodie sweater.
There were no witnesses.
