Parti Quebecois leadership candidate Veronique Hivon has suspended her campaign, citing health concerns.
In a statement posted to social media, Hivon’s spokesperson Pascale Sevigny said a doctor had ordered Hivon to rest during a bout with labyrinthitis.
There is no date given for when Hivon will resume her campaign, but Sevigny said Hivon hopes to return “quickly.”
The PQ will elect a new leader in October.
