There was a disturbing warning this week.

It came from the Canadian Medical Association.

The CMA says Canada will lag behind other countries in getting the swine flu vaccine to high risk groups.

Those groups include pregnant women, and people with unlying medical conditions.

While Americans and those in the UK will be getting the vaccine in mid October, all Canadians it seems will have to wait until November.

That's not good.

Ottawa says we are on track. But we are not getting satisfactory answers.

If Canada's top medical organization is worried, then so am I.

The problem may stem from Canada's strategy to modify the vaccine. But this takes time. And some including the CMA worry it may be too late for some.

So if you see Americans rolling up their sleeves next month and while we still wait.

Although polls show that fewer than half of Canadians plan on getting the vaccine.

So we may have a problem there.

In the meantime, keep washing those hands and learn to cough into your sleeve.

Basic advice yes, but pure and simple.

Not another election!

I think I would rather have a root canal than go through another federal election.

This would be our 23rd election in 4 years. Not quite, but it seems that way.

Liberal Leader Ignatieff has failed to make one compelling reason for another election. One that would cost us about 300 million dollars

We are slowly climbing out of that recession pit, so right now is the worst time for another vote. One which would likely result in another minority.

Ignatieff says its time for Harper to go. And He promises he will erase a 50 billion dollar deficit without boosting taxes. What has he been smoking?

And what's going to happen to that home renovation tax program? That roof you put on in the summer may not be eligible for credit because the bill has never been passed.

Can we just get a break from this for a while?

Will we have to depend on the Bloc or NDP to save us from this fate?

In Italy, where they used to have elections every 6 months, they now laugh at Canadian Parliaments for being the epitome of instability.

And we may be headed for a perfect storm

A federal election and a swine flu outbreak happening at the same time.

You think voter interest and turnout was low last time?

But I guess that would give a whole new meaning to politicians going to the trough.
