There's been another restaurant firebombing in Montreal, though police don't believe it's connected to a string of attacks on cafes north and east of downtown in recent months.
On Thursday morning, someone threw a Molotov cocktail through the window of a La Belle Province restaurant on Ste-Catherine street near Bourbonniere.
The attacker tossed a rock through a window at around 12:50 a.m. and torched the establishment, causing light damage to the counter and floor.
It's the third such attack in the city in the past two days.
Investigators continue to look for clues and are asking anyone with information to call the Info-Crime hotline at 514-393-1133.
Suspicious fire
The Montreal police arson squad is investigating a suspicious fire in the parking lot of a car dealership.
A brand-new car went up in flames in a General Motors dealership at the corner of Ste-Catherine and Nicolet at around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
The car was completely destroyed.
Police have no suspects.
