This is Mental Health week, a time to break down the stereotypes surrounding mental illness.
One problem is the taboo around the issue, when many people don't want to discuss mental health issues, or assume it's a defect of moral character.
"Mental illness affects as much as one in five people, about 20 percent of the general population," said Dr. Joanne Renaud. "In the very young, we have anxiety disorders by the age of six."
