The stereotype of anglophones in Quebec is that they are financially well-off, with better jobs than everyone else.
That stereotype is decades out of date, and older anglophones are finding it increasingly difficult to return to the workforce if they lose their job.
A survey by CEDEC (Community Economic Development and Employability Corporation) finds that despite the high percentage with post-secondary education, anglophones over 45 may not have the language or technical skills needed for the modern workforce.
"That's actually the perception of the employers... however we want to see if that's the reality," said Marianna Balahknina.
