For several years food banks have been saying things are getting tougher for many Canadians.
This year Bonnie Soutar of the NDG Food Depot says nothing has changed.
"All the income that people get is not meeting the needs with the rising costs and Quebec is accepting more and more immigrants coming in, and we have refugee claimants that are kind of caught between a rock and a hard place," said Bonnie Soutar.
