Clients of disgraced financial consultant Earl Jones are taking their case to Ottawa.

His alleged victims have written to Public Works Minister Christian Paradis, demanding a meeting with the ministers of Finance and Justice.

They are asking for tougher sentences for white collar criminals, saying that current laws are too lenient.

They also support proposals for a single, national securities regulator to replace individual provincial regulators.

The victims will also form a non-profit group to help fraud victims.

Jones, who is accused of scamming his clients out of tens of millions of dollars, makes his next court appearance in September.
