MONTREAL - Rookie David Desharnais has signed a two-year pact to play another year with the Habs.

The pint-sized rookie, who made the team after rising all the way from the ECHL, potted 22 points in 43 games.

He will earn $750,000 and then $950,000 in a one-way deal which means that he should finally be in the NHL to stay.
