Four men were charged Thursday morning and nine appeared in court in the afternoon. All face between two and 11 accusations on charges such as possession of child pornography, distributing child pornography, creating child pornography, or inciting people to commit a sexual act.

Police are also looking for 57-year-old Richard Lévesque in connection with the investigation.

According to police, the men took part in online discussions and shared information about the best way to meet children and have sex with them.

The investigation began in 2013 after police received tips from the public.

The Crown opposed bail for the accused. They will return to court for bail hearings Tuesday.

Police say anyone with information on the accused can contact them confidentially at 1-800-659-4264.
