A 21-year-old woman is in hospital with serious injuries to her lower body after being struck by a truck in Ville Marie.
The woman was crossing from the west side of Sherbrooke to the east at the corner of Papineau in the pedestrian walkway at 3:45 a.m. when she was hit by the vehicle, which was going south on Papineau.
The 74-year-old male driver was not injured and police said alcohol was not a factor.
Police said the woman was conscious on the way to hospital and while her condition is serious, it is not critical.
