For the beginning of the school year, police are giving lessons on safety.
They have increased their presence on bike paths in order to warn cyclists, especially young riders, to keep an eye out for other traffic.
Wednesday morning officers were handing out safety pamphlets to bike riders that list the rules of the road for two-wheelers
They have also stepped up their presence around schools to make sure drivers obey speed limits, stop signs, and bus signals.
