MONTREAL - Drivers should avoid the Turcot interchange this weekend, if possible, as severaL access roads around the Champlain Bridge will be closed for repairs.

The ramps from both Highways 720 West and East to the 15 South will be closed from Friday at 10 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.

Other routes will be closed overnight Friday, including the Highway 15 South in the Turcot Interchange from 11 p.m. Friday to 8:00 a.m. Saturday and the same hours overnight Sunday.

The ramp from Highway 15 South to the 720 East will be closed Saturday from 12:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. and from 12:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Partial road closures include one lane closure eastbound on the Turcot from 12:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. from Friday to Saturday and 1:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. from Saturday into Sunday.

Only one lane will remain open on Highway 15 South from the Turcot interchange to the highway entrance at de la Verendrye from 8:00 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities are advising motorists to avoid the Champlain Bridge, or at the very least, access it via the Bonaventure, if possible.
