One man was killed and another seriously wounded after they were shot inside an apartment building in the Shaughnessy Village Friday night.
At around 8:20 p.m. police received a number of 911 calls from people who heard gunshots coming from the 17th floor of a high-rise apartment building on De Maisonneuve Blvd. between St-Marc and St-Mathieu streets.
According to police three men were arguing when one man shot the other two.
The 35-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the injured man was sent to hospital in critical condition. They do not fear for his life.
On Saturday morning police arrested a 36-year-old man on the South Shore in connection with the shooting. He is set to appear in court on Monday afternoon and will be charged with murder.
Crown prosecutors still need to determine if the charges will be for first or second degree murder.
