A violent car crash in Pointe Claire early Sunday morning left four young people in serious condition in hospital.
The crash took place at about 3:30 a.m. when the 21-year-old driver apparently lost control of the vehicle and smashed into two trees, as well as the balcony of a home on Belmont Ave.
Hydraulic spreaders were required to free the two men and two women – all in their early 20s – from the wreckage.
Police say alcohol was likely a factor in the crash and have requested a blood alcohol test from the driver.
