Longueuil police are investigating the discovery of a handgun in a Boucherville parking lot.
Around 10:30 p.m. people called 9-1-1 to report two men were fighting in the parking lot of the 2020 Boucherville shopping mall, but when police arrived they could not find any trace of the men.
An hour later someone called 9-1-1 again to report they had found a handgun.
CTV News was on the scene and able to spot a semi-automatic pistol with a loaded magazine lying nearby, along with a silencer. Less suspicious items on the ground included a baseball cap and sunglasses.
Longueuil police are not confirmed the discovery of anything except the firearm.
