Police are investigating after a vehicle was vandalized and set on fire in the Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension borough Monday.

A call came in around 1:15 a.m. for the fire, on Birnam St. between Jarry St. and Ball Ave.

Montreal firefighters were called in to put out the fire.

Police spokesperson Cst. Abdullah Emran said an incendiary device was found at the scene, leading police to believe the fire was intentionally set.

Symbols resembling a swastika were drawn onto the car. The vehicle has been towed away for analysis.

No one was hurt in the blaze. Police have made no arrests.
