The work to demolish the ramp that connects Highway 15 North to the 720 East will force the closure of Notre Dame St. for several months.

Starting Sunday, portions of Notre Dame St. will be closed between Monk Blvd. and Cote St. Paul Rd. in construction that will last for the next six to eight months.

On the weekend of April 22 the street will be closed in both directions.

But before that, from at 8 p.m. April 10 until the middle of May all eastbound lanes on Notre Dame will be closed, and only one westbound lane will be open.

After that Transport Quebec is vague on dates, saying that from mid-May and throughout the summer Notre Dame St. will be closed in both directions.

At some point toward the end of the summer, and lasting until November or December, eastbound lanes will be closed and one westbound lane will be open.

On the other side of the Interchange, St. Remi St. between St. Jacques St. and Notre Dame St. was closed in February and will remain closed until the end of the summer.

Both closures are necessary as construction crews demolish the ramp that connects the northbound lanes though the Turcot Interchange to the Ville Marie Expressway.
