MONTREAL - Three more CEGEPs voted Thursday to shelve their walk-outs, as students at Bois de Boulogne, Ahuntsic and Rosemont voted to head back to school as of Friday.

At Bois de Boulogne, 493 voted against further walk-outs, while 64 voted in favour and 23 abstained according to the CLASSE student group.

The students voted to take August 22 off to demonstrate, continuing a tradition of protesting on the 22nd of every month, which they have done since March.

Rosemont CEGEP students voted to stay in school with between 65 to 75 percent support. The exact tally was unclear as the votes were not counted due to the clarity of the verdict, according to the Quebec Federation of College Students.

They voted not only to take August 22 off, but to make it a monthly tradition until the government backs down on tuition increases.

Lionel-Groulx in Ste-Therese, Montmorency in Laval and Saint-Jérôme in the Laurentians have already returned to class.

Saint-Laurent and Vieux-Montreal CEGEPs had previously voted by a small margin to stay out. Some students at Vieux Montreal started a petition to hold a new vote Friday.

College Edouard-Montpetit in Longueuil, Marie-Victorin, Maisonneuve and Saint-Hyacinthe have already voted in favour of returning.
