Tens of thousands of cyclists started rolling through the streets of Montreal on Sunday morning.

It's the 25th anniversary for the 52 kilometer ride around town, and the weather couldn't be better! Gentle winds and a projected high of 18 degrees are making for a wonderful day for a ride.

Organizers say events like this one help make Montreal the bicycling capital of Canada.

Joelle Sevigny of Velo Quebec also thanks city hall.

"We have 3 000 bixis that are coming in town. And the cty of Montreal wants to double the cycling paths in Montreal," said Sevigny.
