Montreal police have a new lead in the hunt for two men who opened fire in an Old Montreal clothing boutique this past March.
On March 18, two men walked into Flawnego boutique at 240 St. Jacques West and opened fire, killing two men and wounding two others.
The presumed target of the attack, Ducarme Joseph, managed to escape uninjured.
The attackers fled on foot, along the way shedding clothing and a wig that they used to disguise themselves.
Black Dodge Caravan
Police now say the men got into a black minivan, and they are asking for the public's help in locating this vehicle.
The vehicle is described as a black Dodge Caravan, with a license plate that starts with the letter 'F'.
The van in question can be seen on the left-hand side of the street in this video.
Anyone with information is asked to call Info-Crime at 514-393-1133.
Joseph in jail
When the attempt was made on Joseph's life, he was on bail and awaiting trial for a 2009 assault at the Buona Notte restaurant.
Joseph was arrested the day after the shooting, and pleaded guilty to breaching bail conditions.
In April he then pleaded guilty to the outstanding charges of assault, and of possessing a gun silencer, and was sentenced to ten months in jail.
He could be released in July, and has already agreed to stay away from several downtown clubs, including Buona Notte, Globe, Suco Lounge, and others.
