New allegations have surfaced concerned a police officer at the centre of a controversial arrest.
Stefanie Trudeau, better known as officer 728, was allegedly overheard strategizing about how to write up the report of an Oct. 2 arrest. YouTube footage seen below shows Trudeau putting a man in a choke-hold while lacing a string of profanities.
Catia Moreau alleges Trudeau told her colleagues what to write in their notes to prevent her from being disciplined.
Moreau declined a formal interview with CTV Montreal, simply saying she wasn’t seeking attention, and just wanted to do the right thing by denouncing what she said she overheard.
Montreal police also declined a request for an interview about the latest allegations, but a spokesperson confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and witnesses are being questioned.
Investigators met with Moreau at her apartment Sunday afternoon.
