The controversy over a Montreal police officer commonly refered to as Constable 728 keeps growing.

A number of people are coming forward with similar stories of intimidation, abusive language, and excessive use of force while dealing with agent Stefanie Trudeau.

Julian Menezes, 31, is a part-time lecturer at McGill University who says he encountered Constable Trudeau last May.

He says he saw the officer and her partner ticketing a man on his bicycle next to his home.

Menezes said Trudeau was very aggressive and offered to be a witness for the cyclist. That's when Trudeau told him to move back, and when Menezes asked why, he says he was thrown to the ground and was arrested.

He claims he was taken for a so-called starlight tour: a wild car ride where the goal is to scare the passenger in the back seat.

"Officer Trudeau hits the accelerator and goes as fast as she can. She's driving through the [alley] here in a reckless way, then slams on the brakes. I'm handcuffed, and I hit my face on the divider," said Menezes.

At first Menezes was not certain this was happening on purpose

"At first I wasn't sure, maybe, But they looked back and kept doing it over and over and I understood it was a form of indirect violence."

Menezes also says he was the subject of racial slurs.

Now he says he is not concerned about Trudeau, but complicit silence of her partners, and thinks the behaviour he was subjected to was too calculated to be isolated.

Menezes received a $156 ticket for not co-operating with police, which is is fighting.

He has also filed a complaint with the police ethics commission and the human rights tribunal.

Trudeau suspended Thursday

Trudeau was suspended Thursday by Montreal police after video of an arrest she made earlier this month appeared on television.

She has also been the target of death threats on the internet, with some Facebook pages calling for her murder.

There have also been several calls to hold demonstrations this weekend outside Trudeau's home.
