Sixteen posts will be cut at the National Film Board, it was announced Thursday.
Eight workshop leaders in Montreal and Toronto will see their posts disappear in June and three other executive posts, as well as the Assistant Commissioner roles will be abolished.
NFB Chair Claude Joli-Coeur said that the measures would provide $5 million in savings.
He said that seven new posts would be created in coming years, including six in digital marketing.
A new Head of Creation and Innovation will be responsible for developing long-term programming strategy.
The NFB also plans to move its Montreal premises to a small premises in the Quartier des Spectacles in 2017.
