Four Montreal-area indoor parking garages have been closed until further notice.

Last month, a garage collapsed in St. Laurent, killing a man.

In the days after the accident, Quebec's construction board, the Regie du Batiment, received some 200 calls from people concerned about the state of their indoor garages.

After looking into the complaints the regie decided to close three garages in buildings on Cote-Vertu, Rene-Levesque west, l'Acadie and at the Day's Inn hotel on Guy street.

They will stay closed until engineers complete a through inspection.
