Montreal police have identified a suspect in the double-killing that took place downtown this weekend. Now they just need to find him.
They have several grainy photographs of the man, who police believe stabbed two men in a brawl that took place early Sunday morning on St. Laurent Blvd. near Guilbault St. Police released a video of the suspect, taken while he waited in line to get into a downtown nightclub.
Two men died of their injuries following the fight, while two men who were shot have managed to survive.
The suspect is described as a black man in his twenties or thirties with braided black hair and a beard. He stands 5'10, weighs about 180 lbs (1.77 m, 82 kg) and is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who has seen this person is asked to call 9-1-1, or to call Info-Crime at 514-393-1133 to leave an anonymous tip. People who witnessed the deadly brawl are also encouraged to contact police.
On Wednesday evening the police force surrounded an east-end house and arrested one man, only to let him go the next morning when they realized they had the wrong man. A second man was also arrested and released at some point this week.
Three other suspects in the deadly fight have been arrested -- one of them having already fled to Calgary -- and appeared in a Montreal courtroom Friday afternoon.
Jean-Francois Felix, 30, was charged with attempted murder and assault, Marc-Evans Jeantihomme, 23, was charged with assault causing bodily harm and Stanley Casimir, 23, was charged with attempted murder.
