Montreal firefighters took about one hour to extinguish a blaze at a grow-op in a Montreal North Triplex Saturday at about 1 a.m.
The fire appears to have started in the basement and spread to the back of the building at 5550 Charleroi.
When firefighters entered the building, they discovered about 100 marijuana plants being cultivated as part of an indoor grow-op.
The neighboring triplex was also evacuated as firefighters dealt with the smoke and flames.
Police are investigating.
