CAA-Quebec has named a road in the Gaspé as the worst in the province.
Route de Marcil in Port Daniel Gascons was picked in the online poll as the road most in need of repairs.
Gouin Blvd. East was chosen as the worst stretch of road in Montreal, with critics saying in many places asphalt is crumbling into the river. They also had a harsh assessment of hydro poles planted in the bicycle lane.
Other roads in the Montreal area that received very poor rankings were Notre Dame East, Sherbrooke St. East, Papineau Ave., and Le Corbusier Blvd. in Laval.
"We know that we don't have the power to make a road get repaired. We don't have the budget either but what our responsibility is, is really to make sure that motorists get heard, and so that's why we do give this information to the authorities," said Anne-Sophie Hamel of CAA-Quebec.
This was the second year that CAA-Quebec compiled a list of terrible roads in Quebec.
The only street to place in the top ten in both years was Kilmar Rd. in Grenville sur la Rouge, despite part of the road being under construction last year.
