An elementary school in east-end Montreal was ransacked by vandals, causing several thousands of dollars-worth of damage.
Everything inside the Louis-Dupire school at 6400 Pierre-De Coubertin Ave. in the Longue-Pointe area of Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough was damaged or destroyed late Thursday night, including chairs, desks, cabinets and computers.
The premises were even flooded with a hose and cleaning products were spread all over the floors.
There was graffiti everywhere and all of the emergency exit signs were torn down.
Investigators spent several hours at the scene Friday taking pictures and trying to collect fingerprints.
There were no surveillance cameras, which may make the job that much more difficult.
