MONTREAL - Anxious to push pedals despite the wintry weather, Montreal bike enthusiasts are pouring in to Place Bonaventure this weekend for a peek at all things on two wheels.
From accessories to tourism to the latest in cycling technology, 200 exhibitors are showing off their gear at the largest consumer cycling show in Canada, running from Friday through Sunday.
It's no surprise the event is so popular, considering the increased interest in cycling in recent years, according to recent Velo Quebec figures.
"In Quebec, they just announced that we have 4 million cyclists. Last time, five years ago, it was 3.5 million," said show organizer Jan Dube.
The 9th annual show is suited for bike enthusiasts young and old, beginner and expert, summer and four-season, and for both road cyclists and mountain bikers.
