MONTREAL- Francesco Bruno, owner of Montreal-based BT Ceramics has a very large bill to pay.
The ceramics company owner was ordered Tuesday to hand over $1.29 million to the Canada Revenue Agency after pleading guilty to charges of funneling money to shell companies owned by Tony Accurso.
Those companies, Simard-Beaudry Construction and Louisbourg Limited Construction had previously been fined $4.1 million in fines in separate cases.
Bruno was given bogus invoices in return for cash as part of the scheme, which lasted between 2004 and 2008.
