Many alleged victims of the Earl Jones scandal continue to struggle for money.

They are worried about losing their homes, and are scrimping and saving just to pay their regular bills.

Those who work at the West Island Community Resource Centre say they are unquestionably people in need, and the community is coming forward to help those who have suddenly found themselves strapped for cash.

Ann Davidson, the Centre's Coordinator, says that people have donated $26,000 to help those in need.

So far nine people have been identified as being in desperate need of food, medicine and money to pay for a place to stay

"It's like you have to take a deep breath and try and hold it all together because it's so sad, it's devastating for these people," said Davidson. "There are going to be so many adjustments they have to make in the next couple of months."
