The Champlain Bridge is undergoing repair work over the next few days, leaving two lanes open in each direction during the day.
From Friday night through Monday at 5 a.m., two lanes will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In the overnight hours, one southbound and two northbound lanes will remain open.
The nighttime lane closure will begin at midnight Saturday to accommodate the Loto-Quebec fireworks competition.
Drivers heading to the South Shore are urged to use the Victoria Bridge, where both lanes will be used for southbound traffic overnight. Depending on traffic levels, three lanes may also open in one direction on the Jacques-Cartier Bridge during the construction effort.
