Another municipal politician is admitting he vacationed with a contractor who was doing business for the city.
Luis Miranda, mayor of Anjou borough, admits he took a trip to Portugal with businessman Florindo Baldissin.
Baldissin also did work on Miranda's home.
Miranda is the man in charge of snow removal for the city of Montreal.
He says he paid for the trip himself, and never discussed borough business.
Too close for comfort?
The ties between politicians and construction companies have been under scrutiny in the runup to Sunday's municipal election.
Benoit Labonte, former downtown borough mayor and candidate for Vision Montreal, was fired last week after it was revealed he accepted $100,000 from construction magnate Tony Accurso.
Some of Accurso's firms were raided earlier this year on allegations of tax fraud.
