MONTREAL—Police are questioning four individuals over the apparent murder of a man in Lanaudiere on Friday night.

Surete de Quebec spokeswoman Christine Coulombe said police received a call around 7:30 p.m. about gunshots being fired at a residence in Assomption.

“When (police) arrived on the scene they found the body of a 31-year-old man outside the house,” Coulombe said.

The Canadian Press reports that the victim, who was known to police, was shot several times as he emerged from his vehicle.

The SQ did not confirm if the death was linked to street or biker gangs.
