A 20-year-old man is dead and three other people were injured after a chase involving a Surete du Quebec car ended in a crash on Highway 930.
The Bureau of Independent Investigators has sent nine of its investigators to look into the crash as it involved a police vehicle.
According to the Bureau, the collision happened near the Candiac exit at around 3:00 a.m. on Monday morning. Officers in an SQ cruiser saw the vehicle go by at high speed. The police activated their emergency lights and the driver turned off high headlights and continued driving as the cruiser followed.
A minute later, the car collided with a concrete wall.
The fatal victim was one of the passengers and the driver of the car is in hospital in critical condition.
