MONTREAL - High scoring junior forward Charles Hudon, 18, has inked a three-year deal with the Montreal Canadiens, the team announced Sunday.

Hudon, from Alma, Quebec, the same Lac St. Jean-area town that produced Mario Tremblay, notched 30 goals and 41 assists in 56 games for the QMJHL’s Chicoutimi Saguenéens in 2012-13.

In his three years in the Q, the 5'10", 177 lbs forward put up 197 points in 178 games.

He was chosen by the Canadiens in the fifth round, 122nd overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry draft.

Hudon scored three points in nine games with the Hamilton Bulldogs and will likely start for the Habs' AHL team next season.
