Police say drowsy driving may be to blame for the death of a man in a car crash on Highway 15 in St. Jerome.
Around 10:30 p.m. Monday the driver of a minivan heading south struck another minivan going in the same direction, running it off the road near La Salette Blvd.
The minivan that was pushed off the highway flipped over the safety rail and landed on its roof, severely injuring the driver and inflicting lesser injuries on a female passenger. The driver of the minivan later died in hospital.
The driver of the vehicle that caused the collision was not hurt.
Police say inattention, fatigue and excessive speed are being looked at as reasons for the crash.
