Laval police closed down Carrefour Laval Wednesday after a hold-up at a jewelry store.
Around 11 a.m. two men, one about 30 years old, the second about 50, robbed the Birks Jewelers in the mall.
Customers told police that at least one of the men was armed.
The thieves smashed display cases and grabbed whatever they could.
After the robbery police shut down the mall while a SWAT team searched the multi-level parking lot in case the men were still at the scene.
