BURLINGTON, Vt. - A cracked windshield forced a US Airways jet flying from Philadelphia to Montreal to make an unscheduled landing in Burlington, Vermont.
WCAX reports that the pilot noticed the crack developing midair and landed at Burlington International Airport Thursday morning.
Airport operations foreman Doug Wood says the crack was growing larger and the pilots opted to land and have it inspected rather than risk losing the windshield.
The airline scheduled a bus to transport the approximately 50 passengers onboard from the airport to Montreal.
