Quebec's most famous anti-corruption fighter is about to break his silence -- on a television variety show.

Jacques Duchesneau will make an appearance this Sunday on "Tout le monde en parle," a wildly popular talk show that also features comedians and singers.

Duchesneau is the author of a devastating report that details crooked links among the province's construction industry, crime groups and political parties.

He has not made a public appearance since his report was leaked to the media last week.

The head of the provincial anti-collusion unit is also scheduled to meet with a legislature committee next Tuesday.

The decision to appear on TV first is raising some eyebrows.

But Quebec Finance Minister Raymond Bachand is shrugging it off, saying the Radio-Canada show plays an important role in public opinion.

He noted that this was the same platform often credited for launching Jack Layton's spectacular NDP surge in the spring election.
