Thinnest of margins in some borough mayor races; CDN-NDG won by 83 votes, Outremont by 23
Results have come in from borough mayor elections across Montreal, with three final nailbiters settled on Monday by very thin margins: Cote-des-Neiges-NDG, Outremont and RDP-Pointe-Aux-Trembles.
Outremont, notably, was won by just 23 votes, by Ensemble Montreal's candidate. Fewer than 9,000 people voted in that race and 299 ballots were counted as spoiled, far more than the amount that decided the outcome.
Results from the mayoral race can be found in this story and a list of winners in on-island suburbs is here.
Mayoral races in some other major Quebec cities, including women elected in Gatineau, Longueuil and Sherbrooke, are summed up here.
