LAVAL, Que. - The search for a Correctional Service of Canada employee is shifting from a sprawling parking lot to a residential neighbourhood where her cell phone signal was last caught.

Natasha Cournoyer vanished sometime last Thursday evening as she left her workplace in Laval, north of Montreal.

Laval police and volunteers from the Correctional Service of Canada fanned out over a three-kilometre area today looking in backyards and behind businesses for the missing woman.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the return of the 37-year-old Cournoyer.

Police spokeswoman Nathalie Lorrain says detectives are working several leads but are still not able to determine the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.

In a separate development, Montreal police say they're investigating the discovery of a woman's body in the east end and whether it might be Cournoyer's.
